First Experience Course

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to breathe underwater and explore a vibrant marine ecosystem? If you’d like to try scuba diving, Islanders Zante Diving Center offers SSI introductory diving programs that will take you into the stunning underwater world of the Greek Mediterranean while you enjoy your holiday with family or friends.

Discover crystal-clear waters, fascinating rock formations, and a rich variety of marine life—from colorful fish and octopuses to starfish and hidden reefs unique to Zakynthos.

As part of the experience, you’ll dive under the supervision of our professional instructors in confined water, where you’ll learn the basic skills and principles of safe and comfortable diving.

This introductory program lasts about 1 hour and includes one dive, giving you the perfect first taste of the underwater world.

Diving Courses

If you find yourself wanting to know more about scuba diving in Zakynthos, you can join an SSI course and become a certified Open Water Diver. The SSI Open Water Diver course is one of the most popular entry-level diving programs worldwide.

With our special offer, the amount you have already paid for your introductory diving experience can be credited toward the full SSI Open Water Diver course, making it easy to continue your underwater adventure.

Requirements: minimum 10 years of age and good physical health

Start: every day from May to October.

Islanders Diving Centre Courses

Thinking about learning to dive? If you’ve never dived before but always wanted to, this is your chance to discover the underwater world. While you’re on holiday, you can start your diving journey with SSI and experience the excitement of breathing underwater for the first time.

With SSI (Scuba Schools International), you can begin with an introductory experience such as Try Scuba or the Basic Diver program, and continue your training step by step toward becoming a certified Open Water Diver. SSI training is flexible, allowing you to learn at your own pace through a combination of digital learning, confined water sessions, and open water dives.

The SSI system focuses on comfort, confidence, and safety, introducing essential skills and knowledge in a progressive and enjoyable way. You’ll gain real diving experience under the guidance of professional instructors, ensuring you feel relaxed and prepared in the water.

Once certified as an SSI Open Water Diver, you will have the skills and knowledge to dive safely anywhere in the world.
